2008 Accounted-For

- Sgt. Stanley E. Baylor, U.S. Army, Company L, 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, was lost on Nov. 1, 1950, near Unsan, North Korea. His remains were identified on Oct. 20, 2008.
- Staff Sgt. Melvin C. Dye, Sgt. 1st Class Douglas J. Glover and Staff Sgt. Robert S. Griffith, U.S. Army, 5th Special Forces Group, were killed on February 19, 1968, when a helicopter attempted to extract their team from an area under enemy attack. Their remains were identified on October 2, 2008.
- Sgt. Robert C. Bockey, Cpl. Samuel C. Harris, Cpl. Lloyd D. Stidham and Cpl. Robert G. Schoening, all U.S. Army, Company C, 65th Combat Engineer Battalion, 25th Infantry Division, were lost on Nov. 25, 1950, near the Kuryong River in North Korea. Their remains were identified on Sept. 26, 2008.
- Privates Thomas D. Costello, Henry A. Weikel and Carl H. Willig, U.S. Army, 5th Infantry Division, 60th Infantry Regiment, Company H, were lost on September 16, 1918, while advancing against enemy lines in France. Their remains were identified on August 4, 2008.
- Sgt. Dougall H. Espey, U.S. Army, Company L, 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, was lost on Nov. 1, 1950, near Unsan, North Korea. His remains were identified on Aug. 4, 2008.
- Pfc. Julian H. Rogers and Pvt. Henry E. Marquez, both U.S. Army, G Company, 112th Infantry Regiment, were lost on Nov. 4, 1944, near Vossenack, Germany. Their remains were identified on June 17, 2008.
- Lt. Col. Henry P. Brauner, Lt. Col. Irving B. Ramsower, II, Lt. Col. Howard Stevenson, Lt. Col. Richard Castillo, Maj. Barclay B. Young, Maj. Curtis D. Miller, Capt. Richard C. Halpin, Capt. Charles J. Wanzel, III, Chief Master Sgt. Edwin J. Pearce, Senior Master Sgt. Edward D. Smith, Jr., Senior Master Sgt. Robert E. Simmons, Master Sgt. William A. Todd, Master Sgt. Merlyn L. Paulson, and Senior Master Sgt. James K. Caniford, U.S. Air Force, 16th Special Operations Squadron, were lost on March 30, 1972 during an armed reconnaissance mission over southern Laos. Their remains were identified on Feb. 12, 2008.
