DPAA Marks 800th Korean War Identification at Korean/Cold War Annual Government Briefing
OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. — The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced a significant milestone in the accounting mission during its annual Korean/Cold War Government Briefing in Omaha, Nebraska, Aug. 6-7, marking the 800th identification from the Korean War. The annual event, held for the first time in Omaha, provided families in attendance with the latest information on the cases of their missing loved ones.

Fallen Arkansas Soldier returned home with help from Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency
LAKE CITY, Ark. — After almost 75 years, a U.S. Army sergeant, who served in World War II and the Korean War, was finally laid to rest with full military honors in his hometown of Lake City, Nov. 19, 2024. That same day, the flags across the state of Arkansas were flown at half-staff in honor of U.S. Army Sgt. Charles Beaty, who was positively identified by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency on April 5, 2024.
