Det 2 Hosts ROTC Cadets
Detachment 2 in Vietnam hosted cadets from Seton Hall University Army ROTC March 4. The "Pirate Battalion" learned about our mission on their staff ride and how the Defense Department keeps its promise to never leave a comrade behind.
Founded in 1893, the ROTC detachment is made of up of students from 26 universities across the state of New Jersey, and its most notable alumni is Medal of Honor Recipient Army Chaplain (Major) Charlie Watters.
Thanks to Det. 2 for letting the next generation of Army leaders learn about our mission and its importance.
Training Never Stops!
U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific (MARFORPAC), Marines jump into a pool during water survival training at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.
Marines from units around the island, including the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, trained through basic and intermediate swim qualifications to fulfill their swim qualification requirements during this multiple-hour exercise.
The course is designed to train Marines in water survival through intense aquatic training events such as victim rescues, distance swims, and underwater endurance exercises.

DPAA Lao Embassy Visit
On February 15, 2024, Mrs. Sumpter Winbush, accompanied by Mrs. Nasarenko, had an office call with Dr. Bounthanongsack Chanthalath, Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM), Embassy of the Lao PDR to the United States.
During the meeting, the topic of "protections and immunities" was the highlight. The DCM stated his governments position was one of cooperation, and he is hopeful that relationships will continue to grow and prosper.
