Johnie Webb, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, Deputy Director of outreach and communication, consoles Pachetta Draft-Murphy, spouse of fallen Sgt. 1st Class Tommy L. Murphy during a ceremony dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of seven U.S. service members and nine Vietnamese military personnel. The ceremony took place during the National League of POW/MIA Families 47th Annual banquet held in Washington DC, June 22nd through the 25th 2016. Prior to the ceremony the families of the fallen service members traveled to the Pentagon where they witnessed the unveiling of a plaque honoring the lives lost April 7, 2001. Gone but Never Forgotten

June 29, 2016 — The unique mission of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency brings hope and answers to the families who are still missing loved ones from the Vietnam War era. It states in DPAA’s mission statement that they will provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.

Boyer was buried with full military honors, and will forever be laid to rest surrounded by his brother and sisters in arms in the Arlington National Cemetery, including his best friend U.S. Army 1st Lt. Loren Hagen who is buried a few plots away from Boyer’s final resting place. “I extend my heartfelt thanks for your prayers and support for Alan and my family for so many years. Special thanks to those dedicated and committed to pursuing the fullest possible accounting for Americans still missing from the Vietnam War.” Boyer-Bouchard.

Returning an American Hero Home

Washington, D.C. — The unique mission of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency brings hope and answers to the families who are still missing loved ones from the Vietnam War era.
