WASHINGTON –
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced today that Army Sgt. 1st Class Charles D. Eason, 32, killed during the Korean War, was accounted for Dec. 15, 2025.
In the summer of 1950, Eason was a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 34th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was reported missing in action on Aug. 15 while fighting North Korean forces in the vicinity of Changnyong, South Korea. He was not accounted for following the war.
This is an initial release. The complete accounting of Eason's case will be published once the family receives their full briefing.
