WASHINGTON –
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced today that U.S. Army Cpl. Norman R. Levesque, 18, who was killed during the Korean War, was accounted for Sept. 8, 2025.
In late 1950, Levesque was a member of Battery C, 15th Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He was reported missing in action on Aug. 30, in the vicinity of P’ohang, South Korea. Lacking any post-war information, the Army issued a presumptive finding of death for Levesque.
This is an initial release. The complete accounting of Levesque's case will be published once the family receives their full briefing.
