Fallen hero identified, returned home

By Kolton Rutherford, Log Cabin Democrat

Fallen World War II hero and Little Rock son 2nd Lt. Kenyon Brindley is home nearly 80 years after he and six other crew members on a B-24 Liberator lost their lives in the sky over Gotha, Germany, on Feb. 24, 1944.

Laid to rest on Monday in a private service at a cemetery in Conway following a public visitation and funeral, the story of Kenyon’s life, death and ultimate return to the state he called home spans more than a century.
