Dr. Carrie LeGarde, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency forensic anthropologist and scientific recovery expert spoke about the resolution and managing of commingled human remains during the fourth Scientific Summit in Milan, Italy, Sept. 18, 2025. The summit included information about ongoing recoveries, identification processes and advancements, partnerships and innovations, and any significant developments regarding specific cases of missing service members.
