Family members of the seven U.S. service members killed April 7, 2001 in a helicopter crash fulfilling the mission of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency met with U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley to reminisce the memory of their lost loved ones, June 23, 2016. Milley provided a tour of the Pentagon that ended in a ceremony unveiling a plaque in the POW/MIA memorial hall honoring the lives lost 15 years ago. “We never leave a fallen comrade,” said Milley. “Even if the risk, or even if it’s the cost of our own life, we will bring our fellow fallen Marines, Airmen, Soldiers and Sailors back home.” (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Leah Ferrante)
