WWII Vet Receives Medals After 70 Years
Charles Wolf, a World War ll veteran, stands with his family at the Pearl Harbor Education Center, Hawaii, May 6, 2016. Wolf was a part of a surprise ceremony held in his honor, where he was presented a shadow box containing awards and medals he had never received during his service in the U.S. Army, 72 years ago. The awards were presented by Brig. Gen. Mark Spindler, Deputy Director of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), in an official ceremony, to thank Wolf for all the sacrifices he made to this country so many years ago.
