The ceremony marked the culmination of the efforts of two recovery teams and one investigative team to recover service members unaccounted for during the Vietnam War. During the ceremony, the honor guard team escorted the potential osseous material for transport to the DPAA Laboratory in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii.
