Thomas Griffith, the nephew of Marine Corps Pvt. William E. Rambo, receives the American flag during his uncle's funeral at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, April 4, 2022. In November 1943, Rambo was a member of Company H, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force, and was killed in the Battle of Tarawa, Nov. 20, 1943.
