U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Vincent Darilek, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), sweeps for metal hits on a slope in hopes of finding possible evidence during a DPAA investigation mission in Chin State, Myanmar, May 5, 2016. Darilek and eight DPAA team members deployed to the area in hopes of recovering the remains of seven U.S. Army Air Forces personnel unaccounted-for from World War II. The mission of DPAA is to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
