DPAA reaches new heights
A Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) honor guard detail escorts a set of unknown remains during a disinterment ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii, June 13, 2016. DPAA members gathered to exhume the remains of eight unidentified remains from the Korean War era. After the ceremony, the remains were transported with honors to the DPAA facility where they will undergo DNA testing and possible identification. DPAA’s mission is to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation.
