Malcolm Livick reviews the remarks he made during a memorial ceremony at Harrisonburg High School, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in 1947, in his home in Fort Defiance, Virginia, June 28. More than 71 years ago, Livick's school dedicated a plaque to 27 former students from his school who had died in World War II. One of those men, 1st Lt. William W.
